My name is Marije Assink, and I am a 34 year old colored pencil artist, specializing in petportraits. As long as I can remember, animals and the natural world have been my passion. I studied Forest- and Nature Management, and during that time I started drawing portraits. I wanted to start drawing or painting again, but at the time I had a small student room so painting would have become a mess probably. So I bought a set of professional colored pencils, and I never looked back! I now own hundreds of artist grade pencils from various brands.

 

All materials I use are of the highest quality. I only use colored pencils that are lightfast, and high-quality artist paper. This prevents the colors from fading, or the paper getting a yellow glow.
